A little late but just wanted to share some pics from the Midwest qualifiers for BC1. The spot was small in the Metro but Bgirl Dream and I managed to create a mini cypher on the side and got loose. The winner was Mijo from Milwaukee.

Went to my homie Double OGs birfday party! Ganja cake made of kush lmao I had none yea im lame. Wore an all thrifted outfit. Pink chiffon shirt and head scarf and high waisted shorts. I think people definitely don't expect me to break. Its the element of surprise and I like it. Don't mess with a pink lady!!
Just wanted to plug this event before I forget. Once a month in Edgewater they fill the garage with vintage sellers. Early bird gets the worm. I advise you to bring cash in smaller bills, it makes it easier for the merchants. Ill be posting info on the next one up :-) I hear they will be spinning vinyl and having alt for sale. Redbull held an event held at Lacuna Art gallery in Pilsen a week ago. It was dope! Basically street artist paint the redbull curates in a competition.The octopus curate was the winner. Decided to play with color. started with a black and white chiffon top thrifted, paired it with a $10 forever 21 pencil skirt, black tights, and topped it with royal blue shoes. Every 2nd Friday of the month the artist open their studios to the public in Pilsen. There a variety of photographers, painters, and sculptors. They have music, food, and drinks available. Wish I could have taken photos of some of the art but its considered a tabu if you take photos. Victory rolls are so much easier than you think! Lets work on one.First start by parting the hair in a straight line from behind the ear to the other ear. Use a curling iron to create a curl. Next get a tease comb and back comb to create hight and volume. Then use a smoothing brush to make the teased hair smooth. Roll the end of the hair in a circle and continue to roll the circle to the desired spot and pin. waaa laaa! One pin curl. One you get good you can section and play around with it. It was a ruffles and lace kinda day <3 I wore my hair curly with a lace flower I created from JoAnns fabrics. The shirt is vintage from salvation army in Kenosha WI., skirt was also a thrift find. from a salvation army Chicago Il., lace tights from target with a simple black heel from target. Olé! You have to be patient and dig a little but you can absolutely find quality items thrifting. Quick tip add vinegar to your wash when you take your items home. It gets rid of any odor from age.
